Hi! I'm Darcie

I’m so glad you’re here. Seeking online therapy can feel like a huge leap of faith, and you might not even be sure if you’re ready. I get it. It’s tough to get started, especially if you were taught to believe that therapy is “only for when things get *really* bad.”

Let’s normalize going to therapy--for whatever reason that feels right: a break-up, a question about what’s next in your life, a vague feeling of something being off, a loss of any kind, a recent life change or transition, family stuff, past trauma, feeling down, feeling anxious, a concern about a relationship…the list goes on. No matter how big or small, whatever you’re going through, I’m here to support you.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m committed to helping you find what you seek – whether that’s an answer to a question, tools to cope, a space to feel seen and heard, or a roadmap for moving forward.

I’m here for it all – the tears, the laughter, the confusion, the exploration, the hard work, and the ups and downs. I’d be honored to witness your story and support you in creating purposeful change in your life.

About My Approach

I take an integrative approach that honors the unique story of every client. I seek to highlight untapped strengths and access inner resilience.

I practice “root cause” therapy, which means that we go beyond basic coping strategies to resolve the root cause of your mental health symptoms rather than just teaching you ways to manage them forever.

Additionally, with the backing of my Integrative Mental Health certification, I provide clients with lifestyle and mind-body tools, in addition to traditional therapy approaches, to support whole self healing.

I believe that the client-therapist relationship is the most vital component of successful therapy and prioritize building rapport and trust in the initial sessions.

I show up as my authentic self with the intention of making the virtual therapy room a place of warmth, safety, and comfort. My hope is that you leave every session feeling seen, heard, understood, and cared for.

My journey to becoming a therapist was not linear. While my undergraduate degree was in Psychology, I chose another path after graduation and became an attorney. I experienced a tremendous amount of personal growth during law school and as an attorney, but felt unfulfilled in my work and realized that I wasn’t living a life fully for myself.

So I took a leap of faith and applied to graduate school for Marital and Family Therapy. As this path unfolded, I felt assured that this new direction was exactly what I needed. Not only has it led to a meaningful and fulfilling career, but it has also created the space for me to do my own inner work.

I believe that the most important work we can ever do is to look inside ourselves with vulnerability and embrace all of our parts, including the messy and imperfect ones. It is through this work that we can connect with what matters most to us and form and maintain thriving relationships with others.

Why I Became A Therapist

Aside From Being A Therapist

I am a wife and mother to a sweet boy and an enthusiastic dog.

I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, spending time in nature, moving my body, and connecting with family and friends.

I also love to travel and have explored over 40 countries. My top destinations would have to be Bali (where I lived alone for three months and, later, got married) and Australia, but Morocco would be the one that took me most out of my comfort zone.
